Business Process Analysis (“As Is”)

Understanding your current business processes in an easy to understand quantifiable format is crucial to allowing decision making around business process change, and what the impact will be.

No recommendation or solution is complete without knowing the “baseline” of the current throughput, volumes, role costs and other metrics are. We have a tried and tested approach to gathering requirements and scoping the extent of work.

To successfully address defining what the current business state is, we offer a rapid and cost effective service to map the current business processes in detail, clearly depicting:

  • Activities
  • Roles
  • Hand-off points
  • Interactions between processes
  • Systems currently being used

This allows us to define the relationship between each Role identified in a process and the activities for which they are responsible. Understand the nature of the differences between similar processes run for different local operations as required and capture the process metrics required to allow analysis, typically:

  • Times (elapsed and work times, per process step)
  • Volumes (input volumes, process pathway percentage volume
  • Role costs.

The deliverables include:

  • Current ("As Is") process maps
  • "As Is" process key metrics (times, volumes, costs)
  • Conduct quantitative process analyses and produce comparative tables of key metrics
